FOOTBALL CLUB UNVEILS NEW SIGNING

League Two club Lincoln City FC has made a new signing – media and communications specialists Shooting Star PR.

The firm celebrated its first year in business by landing the football club’s new PR account.

Shooting Star PR has been briefed to work with the club’s existing media and communication team to raise the club’s profile in the local, regional and national media and to promote the community work in which the club is engaged.

A community-owed club, Lincoln City has recently enjoyed great success on the field, reaching the League Two play-offs for five seasons in succession.

The club’s Chairman Steff Wright, a businessman whose Gusto Group based in Nottinghamshire is involved in house building, construction and rainwater harvesting, welcomed Shooting Star PR to the club.

“Our aim as a club is to improve and develop all aspects of the club to a championship standard,” he said.

“It is important that the excellent work being done is actively promoted to people both within Lincolnshire and the UK. Media interest usually focuses on the run of form good or bad and not on the underlying progress the club is making which will deliver long-term stability and success.”

Shooting Star PR’s other clients include the University of Lincoln, the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, property valuers and auctioneers JHWalter and the electronics and lighting group MPW.
