SHOOTING STAR TO SHINE AT SHOW

One of Lincolnshire’s oldest established organisations has joined forces with one of its newest.

The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society has engaged Lincoln-based Shooting Star PR to provide a range of support including media relations, copywriting and training.

Shooting Star PR, set up last year by former university press officers Jez Ashberry and Kate Strawson, will be providing a full PR service for the 2007 Lincolnshire Show, including press releases and news generation, media relations, media training and liaison with journalists during the two-day event.

The consultancy is undertaking more general media relations work for the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society and has been commissioned to write the copy for the society’s redesigned web site.

The Lincolnshire Show is the highlight of the county’s events calendar and the Lincolnshire Showground has been its home for almost half a century.

The 205-acre showground just north of Lincoln is also home to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, which was formed in 1869 and which is responsible for the spectacular annual show which attracts around 70,00 visitors each year.
